Being On The Receiving End Is Not Selfish

Diana Eskander

I’m here to crush this idea that women need to be the givers in relationships.

In fact, I’m waking up to the truth that this is part of my greatest life’s work.

Women are in their truest power, for themselves and really for the world, when they are in the position of receiving.

Think about it.

A woman receives the sperm and her body moves into this magical creation process of making a baby.

A process my body is currently inside of (19 weeks, yay!).

We alchemize what we receive and turn it into more love.

When you receive in your relationships, you get fueled, rather than the usual dance of giving, then feeling drained.

As you feel fuller, you show up more vibrant, more alive, more in love - and the man in your life gets to receive that energy from you.

It’s this perfect dance you see.

I’m not saying you never give in relationships.

I’m saying it’s time to reassess what giving looks like, sounds like and feels like.

Like one of my mentors, Elisa Canali says, it’s about being 70% in your feminine and 30% in your masculine.

The feminine receives - make that your 70%.

The masculine gives - make that your 30%.

So, I’m curious.

As you read this post, and imagine the possibility of receiving more than giving in your relationships - what comes up for you?

With love,

Diana
