Maybe Our Differences Are Actually What Make It Work

I had a breakthrough while in a heated discussion with my partner the other night.

We are in the thick of it with parenting.

And while he was busy looking for solutions, all I wanted was to talk about the foundational things I feel need addressing.

And I was speaking to this like it was a problem.

When it hit me, he is simply being the Yang (outwardly focused) while I was being the Yin (energetically focused).

As long as we are both willing to lean into and adopt what the other person was offering (which we are), this gets to be a winning combination.

Maybe it isn’t such a problem that we see this differently.

Maybe it’s actually perfect harmony of masculine and feminine energetics at play.

Him with his logical and tangible solutions.

Mine with the energetics in the family that need some tweaking.

Have you ever felt that you and your partner seeing things differently was a problem that couldn’t be solved?

How does it feel to see it this way instead?

With love,
