The Power Of Your No
What I’ve found to be true is that the more I say no to what isn’t for me, the closer I get to what is.
What I’ve also found to be true is even when I say yes where I want to say no, I still get where I’m going. It just takes me a longer to get there.
The power of your no is REAL.
It’s taking a stand for your desires.
It’s an upholding of your standards.
It’s an unwavering belief in yourself.
It’s potent AF.
Where in your (love) life are you saying yes to people or ways of engaging that don’t align with what you want?
The way we talk about this in School of Love, is that when you respect your standards (and subsequently, your boundaries), you choose yourself.
And the clearer you are on why something qualifies as a “no” and what you stand to gain by closing those doors, the closer you are to your heart’s desires.
As women, we haven’t been encouraged to say very many nos – a nice girl is always more concerned with pleasing others than herself.
So, consider this a permission slip to own your yeses and your nos.
Knowing, they are equally powerful.
With love,
Diana
